Hip deep in rubble and cels
last modified: Sunday, August 12, 2007 (1:19:14 PM)
A MASSIVE pile of Tonde Buurin and Cyber Team in Akihabara cels (with a few gems from other collections) arrived recently just as half of the interior of my new home-to-be has been demolished to enlarge a bathroom and remove questionable homosote and paneling from walls, and most importantly repair old termite damage. The pile of rubble sadly towers over the height of my cel pile even if the cels equal almost 100 items. (I plan to post about 2/3rds of them). I couldn't help posting a few today, though. Once again, if anyone can read the bellies of little piggies on this cel:

I would greatly appreciate it. I might post some demolition photos if I can stand it once I retrieve the camera from the other house where I left it yesterday.

So have the various contractors asked about your cels? Or do they just give you funny looks? =D

I''m mot sure any that have worked on our place so far would even know what anime is. They are already amused by the fact that I plan to do a lot of mosaic art in various rooms. I don''t want them to be too freaked out!

Red is "Chi", Green is "Yo", and Blue is "Ko." It''s in Katakana, but I don''t know what Chiyoko is.

Wait, it might be "choke", like the guy''s all choked up? I don''t know.

I can''t help with the piggie translation, but I had to post and do a sqwee over your new cels! I love, love, love that Blue Miruru cel. So, so gorgeous. And, the TB you''ve posted so far are absolutely beautiful. Congrats on all those wonderful new acquisitions.

And, I hope the demolition goes well -- and that it''s over and your new house is livable in no time at all. *hugs*

Yup, the first pig says "chi", the second says "yo", and the third says "ko." It''s one word: "choko." (because the chi and yo combine to make "cho") Choko is a shortened version of the word "chocolate."
I wonder what''s going on in that scene! :)

Oooh! Sorry to post twice, but I just had a thought. Perhaps the wrapped box in Sensei''s hand is Valentine''s chocolate. He may be embarrassed or surprised about receiving it, and that''s why the pigs have have choko written on them as kind of an exclamation point of his reaction. Just a guess, since I haven''t seen the episode. ^_^ The box just looks like the type of wrapping I''ve seen for Valentine''s chocolate in a few other anime series. It''s such an adorable cel!

Thanks all of you that wrote and/or posted here for the info. The chocolate idea sounds like a possibility. Thanks for the comments on my new Miruru, Tex-chan. I was pretty excited to get that one. It has some nice detail and I love the coloring! I don''t know when I''ll have time to post more cels; hopefully soon.
