F1 is not the same without Schumacher

All those that know me know that Im a huge motorsport fan, especially of the Formula 1. I've been following it for years and have seen how much it has changed. Can I say that I just hate all that glamour and half naked girls around the cars and races... I understand that it's a sport that attracts men mostly but still...

But that was not the reason why Im making this post today... I've always been a huge Michael Schumacher fan, and I was very sad when he retired last year, luckily I was there at the race and was with him on the weekend. I knew it was going to be hard to watch the first race of the 2007 season without him on the grid, but it was worst than I expected. His absence was so notorious that even some of the most anti-Schumi people from f1 boards have had to confess that f1 is not the same without him. Im also a huge fan of his brother and loved to see them both on track - even if their relationship didn't seem to be as good as it was years ago - and fortunately he's still there racing... but Michael is Michael and there'll never be another like him.

I can agree that it seems weird not seeing Michael on the podium doing his little leap with his big smile of joy. This season though does seem quite exciting with those drivers changing teams and seeing how it shakes out. Face it Michael was such a dominate force it seemed that the only drama was who would finish second and by how many seconds behind him.
I''m not sure about Ralf. He seems to have lost something after that bad crash at Indy and the team he''s on can''t get the package right.
I guess in the long run , I''m happy for Michael that he was able to leave while on top , hey if not the only engine failure of the year , he would have gone into the last race odds on to win it all. I have watched the sport lose top drivers like Senna & Clark so I wish him well.
Oh BTW did you hear the rumors running around that Michael might be purchasing the Torro Russo team, One wonders if that happens , we might see the "team owner" back on the track again.

F1 will always have moments like these. In 1994 Ayrton Senna died in that horrible crash at Imola. For many (including me) Senna was the ultimate F1 king and they (we) said there will never be anyone like him. World champions come and go. And I think that''s a good thing.
